Production Scientist

We are looking for a protein scientist to our Production Team with experience in protein expressions and purification. Immudex is a fast-growing biotech company providing solutions for T-cell immune monitoring within immunotherapy, transplantation, infectious disease, and autoimmunity. Based on our proprietary Dextramer® technology, we develop and market research reagents and diagnostic assays, enabling researchers, developers, and clinicians to measure disease-specific T-cell responses.

 

About the Job

You will be part of the Production Team, and your primary responsibility will be to produce intermediate products as well as assisting finished good production.
In more detail, this will include

  • Small scale protein expressions in fermentor and shaker flasks.
  • Protein refolding.
  • Purification on FPLCs.
  • Preparation of production journals and batch journals.
  • Qualification of equipment and process validations.
  • Handling of quality related issues.
  • Assembling of finished goods products.
  • Participating in production transfers.

 

Qualifications

We expect that you have an academic background within engineering or natural sciences, preferably with experience in protein chemistry. Furthermore, we value:

  • In depth knowledge of laboratory-related biotechnology methods for small scale protein expression and purification, preferentially FPLC.
  • Experience with small volume pipetting.
  • Experience in validation of methods and processes is preferred.
  • Good understanding of application of statistical techniques for data analysis and process understanding.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Analytical skills and a systematic approach to task solving.
  • Proficient in oral and written English, and, preferably, also in Danish.
