The Scatter Profile is Unusual

Incorrect instrument settings can lead to an unusual scatter profile. Check your settings and adjust them if necessary. A compromised sample can also cause distortion of the scatter plot. For example, if blood cells are handled inappropriately, have been starved or otherwise stressed, some may undergo degranulation, activation or even cell death, which impact the data collected by the cytometer. Thus, prepare and handle your sample with care during staining.
